02 — What it is

A pad under
the watch.

Leather extends beneath the case. Its outline frames the watch, from the edge of the pad to the curve of the shoulders.

A separate pad or a shaped, continuous base. Different constructions, seen from above, from the side and up close.

The difference is in the details.
